Timpani for the percussionist on the move
Yamaha's acoustic division has added a new range of timpani to its range of traditional and orchestral instruments – and, being Yamaha – it is proving to be anything other than a 'me too' series. The new TP3100EA drums are lightweight and portable, folding away easily to make life just that little bit more convenient for orchestral percussionists... and let's face it, they need all the logistical help they can get.

Percussion: Yamaha TP3100EA portable timpani
This new series is the first portable timpani to offer adjustable pedal height and castor legs. The bowls of the TP3100EA series are very lightweight, because they are made of aluminium. In addition to that, they have a collapsible design, which makes them perfect for the gigging timpanists. These timpani feature a movable tuning gauge for American or German set-up. Adjustable height and tilt settings enable each player to create a comfortable playing position.The foot-operated pedal delivers solid tuning and folds up to reduce packing space. The cable linked transferable tuning gauge includes accidental indicator for tuning accuracy and precise reference. It also features small locking castors which reduce packing space and remain stable during play.
The TP3100EA series is ideal for practicing in rooms where space is limited and moving the timpani often is a requirement.
