ELECTRIC GUITARS: Lodestone

Lodestone is a brand new British guitar company with an emphasis on great sound, playability and visual impact.

The company has remained respectful of the accepted laws of electric guitar building to make an evolutionary, rather than revolutionary, step forward in instrument design. It has recently introduced a number of electric guitars featuring groundbreaking development processes and materials.

Solid alder bodies combine with rock maple and Indian rosewood necks for optimum resonance and tone transmission. And a beautifully crafted heel design offers easy access to the higher frets while providing enhanced stability.

To maximise comfort and create an ideal string path the LaidBack headstock features machineheads that are angled back towards the natural position of the hand during tuning and friction at the nut is optimised.

Bridge saddles are precision engineered from advanced ceramic material to enhance clarity, dynamics, harmonic content and sustain.

The Electric features Seymour Duncan SSL-6 and SH-4 JB pickups, and the Electric S - which is sculpted to accommodate a pick guard and uses Seymour Duncan SSL-2 and SH-1B ’59 pickups for a warmer vintage feel.

Lodestone Electrics are available in a choice of metallic finishes and are shipped in high quality, padded gig bags. In addition to the stock, Professional Series models, Lodestone also offers an Artist Series in which musicians can choose from a custom menu of timbers, finishes, alternative pickup configurations and other options.

“Lodestone represents an exciting development for guitarists,” commented CEO Mark Gooday. “In a market awash with derivatives of guitars designed 50 years ago and brand-engineered clones, it is gratifying to be contributing something new and valuable.”
