FX: Danelectro launches Cool Cat pedals
Starting with the CD-1 distortion unit, claiming sounds related from British classic amps to classic rock tones, the Cool Cats move from the conventional to the extreme, taking the user through to the 'swampy, trippy sound of the Vibe CV-1 or the highly excessive Metal CM-1 (it's more than metal, says the blurb).A run down of all nine pedals is:
Distortion CD-1
Metal II CM-2 – 'metal to rock with notes jumping from the amp'
Drive CO-1 – 'Tone thickening and warm saturation'
Chorus CC-1 – '3D shimmer and swirl'
Vibe CV-1
Transparent Overdrive CTO-1 – 'Clean boost to glassy crunch'
Metal CM-1 – 'Don't let the name fool you, it's a lot more than just metal'
Fuzz CF-1 – 'Liquid to edgy'
Tremolo CT-1 – 'Better than your vintage amp and you'll dig the square wave setting'
All the pedals feature true bypass, metal jack sockets, and sturdy metal construction.
Also available is a dedicated Cool Cat board and carry case, which holds five Cool Cat pedals and includes a DC supply and all necessary cables.
