Gen 16 will be displaying and demonstrating its range of intelligent percussion on Booth 3050 at the upcoming NAMM show, directly adjacent to the Zildjian stand and will also be involved with the new App and Gaming Pavilion in Hall E.
The Gen 16 Digital Vault series features high-quality, high-resolution acoustic samples of Zildjian's rare reference cymbals, along with a variety of hard-to-find limited edition cymbals that have never been made available to the public.
One particularly exciting launch will be Gen 16’s hotly anticipated Acoustic/Electric (A.E.) cymbal system – the world’s first hybrid acoustic/electric cymbal – which combines patented low-volume acoustic cymbals with innovative microphones, signal processing and tone modelling.
The A.E. Drum Rack will also be debuting, a modern percussion hardware system designed around a patent pending hinge system that leads to an extremely fast setup, easy portability and maximum functionality. It is lighter and stronger than conventional drum racks and supports a wide range of electric, acoustic and hybrid drum and percussion setups.

Gen 16’s Groove Player app for iPhone and iPad will be another newcomer at NAMM, which places thousands of beats and percussion patterns into the palm of the user’s hand. With its powerful interactive user interface, the Groove Player gives control over tempo, time signature, drum and cymbal sounds and allows the user to play and program beats and post them to their favourite websites.
Several showcases and performances are set to take place on Gen 16’s 3050 booth. For more information visit the website here.
