NAMM has announced that Zach Frederick, managing director of Frederick Export has been elected as president of the National Association of Young Music Merchants (NAYMM).
NAYMM is devoted to preparing young professionals, ages 21 to 35, for increasingly responsible leadership roles within the musical instruments and products industry through business, social networking and leadership development programs such as industry mentoring.
Members are part of a network of professionals who work together to ensure the continued growth of the music products industry by developing strong ties within the larger NAMM community, and by providing career guidance to students in colleges and universities. The group meets annually during the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
Frederick obtained a bachelor’s in international economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998. He is also a member of the Rotary Club and has received a Department of Commerce Export Achievement Award and a World Trade Week Excellence Award. Frederick has more than 12 years of experience managing global sales and marketing programs in the musical instrument business.

“I am hoping to make NAYMM a serious vehicle for bringing more young and professional business talent into our industry,” Frederick said.
