Yamaha is marking ten years of its MOTIF instrument line by introducing an exclusive Chick Corea Fender Rhodes sample library.
The sound set, used by the jazz fusion legend on the recent Return to Forever reunion tour features preserved samples of his own personal Fender Rhodes Mark V keyboard – the model he helped develop directly with the instrument's creator, Harold Rhodes.
Corea's Mark V was given several modifications, including the addition of wooden hammers instead of neoprene in the middle of the keyboard, and the new MOTIF library is 100 per cent true to these various changes, which all combined to make his unique sound.
The collection is complemented by a new MOTIF sound set by Peter Jung's Symphonic Orchestra, which includes stereo string, chamber string and choir voices, along with a wide range of orchestral and new sounds.
The limited edition bundle has an RRP of £355.
