Yamaha adjusts Acoustic Division hierarchy

Yamaha has made several key appointments within its Acoustic Division.

The first major change is the promotion of Charles Bozon to sales and marketing director, giving him overall responsibility for all activities within the Acoustic Division, including those concerning Yamaha, Bösendorfer and Kemble pianos, along with Yamaha’s extensive brass and woodwind, string and percussion portfolio.

Bozon (pictured, left) joined Yamaha from front line retail in 1999 as a regional manager for pianos, brass and woodwind, string and percussion instruments. He also succeeded as an acoustic division artist liaison manager, which led to his appointment as marketing manager in 2005, before moving on to sales manager for all the acoustic division categories.

The second role change sees David Halford (pictured, right) take on the newly created position of business development manager for acoustic pianos. Halford joined Yamaha from Kemble & Co in 2009 and was once responsible for developing the Kemble piano dealer network.

His new job involves supporting retailers by focusing on sales development and support, using the experience he has gained from working with Yamaha, Kemble, Bösendorfer and the relationships he has established with other institutions.

John Whitfield (pictured, centre) also joins Yamaha as a regional manager. He has previously held positions in piano retail that is sure to help him in this new dealer sales and support role. He will be looking after Yamaha, Kemble and Bösendorfer brands for several key accounts in the UK and Channel Islands.
