What to expect from Roland's 2017 September Festival

Roland has announced details about its Future Redefined Festival, which takes place throughout September.

The festival will showcase a range of new products from the company, including wind instruments, percussion, guitar products and more.

Roland has also planned a number of special events in celebration of the 30th anniversary of its D-50 synthesizer.

2017’s September Festival officially kicks off at 7am UTC (8am in the UK) on Thursday 7th with the unveiled of a brand new wind instrument described as a product for beginner players “designed to both inspire and enhance musical creativity”.

There will be more products in various categories to follow, including a new guitar-related product from BOSS, two new digital organs, two new electronic percussion products, and four new digital pianos.

Roland is also hosting a special 30th-anniversary celebration of the legendary D-50 Synthesizer, its first entirely digital synthesizer. There will be a dedicated D-50 anniversary web page featuring exclusive interviews with the engineers who developed the synth and tributes from a roster of D-50 fans.

In addition to multiple new product releases and the D-50 celebration, Roland will present the “One Minute Challenge,” a fun online game featuring music and gear trivia.

Friday 8th – Guitar Products
Saturday 9th – D-50 Synthesizer 30th Anniversary Celebration
Tuesday 12th – Digital Organ
Wednesday 13th – Electronic Drums/Percussion
Thursday 14th – Digital Piano
