Westside Distribution held its first Drum & Percussion Dealer Day recently at the Lea Marston Hotel and Spa in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
The supplier used the event to showcase a number of new products from the likes of Sabian, Gon Bops and Drum Workshop (DW), including the new Concept Series of birch and maple drum kits from PDP by DW. For many, it was the first opportunity to get hands-on with a whole host of new gear launched at this year’s NAMM and Musikmesse shows.
Dealer response was positive, with Chris Wright from Drumwright commenting: "The event was professional and enjoyable with some great deals to tempt people in these difficult times," while Pete Lewis from Sound Attak stated: "A fantastic dealer day, like stepping back in time to the dealer days of yore – informal and educational during the day, with great fun and frolicks in the evening."
