WATCH: Could this young US inventor be set to change the recording industry?

A young US inventor has created a new portable studio product dubbed the Studio Stick centred around a smartphone app.

24 year-old Brandyn Armstrong from Cleveland told Newsnet5 that he wanted to build a product that would allow users to record music on the go in an easily portable package.

“I wanted to go to the studio one day and I didn’t have access to any studios and I was thinking it’d be cool if I had a product that I could take with me and record anywhere I want to,” Armstrong said.”

Studio engineers who have got grips with the Studio Stick seem to be impressed.

“It matches a lot of stuff that we use in the actual studio,” said Miles Stevens, engineer at a Cleveland studio. “I think it fits what’s going on cause a lot of artists are working from home or at different locations.”
