Trinity College London's head of business development, David Bobby, has returned to take up a similar role at Faber Music.
Bobby joined Trinity in 2009 after an eight-year stint at Faber as sales manager and has been in the industry for more than 20 years.
Faber Music CEO, Richard King, said: "He brings to the company a wealth of experience gained not only in the UK market, but in key international growth territories, including Asia, the Middle East and Africa. As Business Development Director, David will be leading the company’s Harlow-based commercial functions, building sales growth across the whole range of printed music catalogues. He will assume his position in September 2012.
"We are delighted to welcome David to the Faber Music team, and look forward to supporting him as we take the business forward. David's appointment marks a new and exciting era as we continue to grow the company in both the UK and international markets."
