Stargoat Sound & Lighting in Banbury is moving to an out-of-town business park, the Oxford Times has reported.
Owner Paul Cox has been struggling to compete with the internet traders and plans to deal mainly online at its new Cherwell Business Village premises.
“I wasn’t able to keep up with my bills or pay myself for four months running. There is no choice about it. If you are not paying yourself it is not a job and if you are working six, seven days a week it is not a hobby,” Cox said.
“A lot of people have gone online and I have seen a big drop-off in my customer base. It is changing times, you have to go with the flow.”
Stargoat's last day on Church Lane will be September 15th.
