Sontronics is giving away a free SRC-10 condenser mic (pictured) with every STC-2X mic purchase until June 30th.
The STC-2X is an omni/cardioid large-diaphragm mic switchable between omni and cardioid patterns and it features a three-stage pad (0, -10dB, -20dB) and three-stage low-cut filter (linear, 75Hz, 150Hz). Available in silver or black, the mic comes in a sturdy aluminium flightcase with a spider-style shockmount and is perfectly suited to a wide range of recording applications, particularly male and female vocals, speech and voiceover, acoustic guitar, acoustic instruments, piano, strings, room/ambience, round-table conference, broadcast and podcast.
Worth £95, the Sontronics STC-10 is a small-diaphragm, pencil-style cardioid condenser mic with two-stage pad (0, -10B) and filter (linear, 75Hz) switches, supplied with a mic clip and foam windshield in a padded box. User experience shows that STC-10 performs particularly well when direct miking drums, percussion and acoustic instruments and when used on a boom for film production work, or in a pair for overhead and room recording.
“Our STC-2X and STC-10 mics were only launched a couple of years ago,” said Sontronics founder, designer and MD Trevor Coley, “but already they’ve become best-sellers. This special promotion offers everyone the chance to get hold of a pair of stunning sounding, incredibly versatile mics, making an affordable package for any growing studio.”
