440 Distribution has taken on sole ownership of Godin Guitar's UK distribution.
With immediate effect the firm has become the UK's sole supplier of the Godin family of brands. Any existing stockist of Godin's seven brands - Godin, Richmond, Seagull, Simon & Patrick, Art & Lutherie, La Patrie and Norman Guitars will be supplied by 440.
The range was previously also distributed by 440's distribution partner, Blue Rock, but it will no longer be involved with the Godin brands. The firm, run by Ben Slater, will stop representing 440's other brands in the South - DSL Straps, Bullet Cable and Rothwell Pedals whilst 440 Distribution will no longer be supplying SR Technology in the North.
440 managing director, Tom Harrison (pictured left), explained: "It's been a fantastic two years working with Ben, and together we've grown Godin's UK market share considerably but Ben feels it's time to move on. I respect his decision and we remain good friends."
He added: "These are very exciting times for us and the new Godin Direct concept is about giving our dealers what they've been asking for - better pricing and more support. I'm confident they'll be delighted with the new distribution model which will be a new concept in UK MI."

Existing Godin dealers will be unaffected by the change as all the guitar brands will continue to be supplied from its European facility in Holland.
