Rotosound is launching a new initiative to help MI store staff promote their own bands and music.
In an effort to encourage new musical talent, the string manufacturer is using its social media pages on Facebook, Twitter and its own Blog to encourage friends, colleagues and business partners to support emerging bands throughout the country.
Retailers simply need to contact their local Rotosound sales representative, who will send through a form to fill in with simple details, including the name of the band and the shop. They must then reveal what type of music they play, what their influences are, their best band experience or gig to date and their favourite set of Rotosound strings.
Up to five photographs can be sent, which will be used to help promote each band. Any Facebook, Twitter or other websites can be included as well.
Jason How, Rotosound chairman, said: "I am delighted to be able to showcase local homegrown talent, these bands are quite possibly the bands of tomorrow, and it is important to us to show support in this way."
