Revamped Total Guitar to focus on 'real world' players

Total Guitar magazine has undergone a full makeover.

The mag from publisher Future has a new emphasis aimed at the ‘real world’ player, featuring more content dedicated to improving the reader’s musical ability.

The new-look mag features more tabbed songs and backing tracks with a wider focus on genres and eras. There are more jargon-free product reviews and hands-on tips and tutorials.

The mag will also now feature a new dedicated acoustic guitar section including gear, playing tips and artist advice.

The price of the magazine has also come down to £4.95.

“Over the years Total Guitar has become a bible to so many guitarists, and with the new look magazine we have built upon that reputation,” said Stuart Williams, editor of Total Guitar.

“The magazine will now help all our readers become better players no matter what their ability.

“Today’s gear sounds great and we’re now the number one guide to getting it in your set-up and discovering your own sound. It’s never been easier or more affordable to sound great fast.”
