Peavey powers Black Stone Cherry tour

Peavey provided the backline for the European leg of the current Black Stone Cherry world tour.

The US rock band's guitarist and lead vocalist, Chris Robertson has been using Peavey 4 x 12 6505 cabinets on the road, while the group's other guitarist, Ben Wells (pictured), has taken ownership of Robertson's old Peavey rig.

“I took Chris’ Peavey 3210s because for live work they sound really great,” Wells revealed. “They’re like a XXX, which is what I use in the US and I also use a noise suppressor on my setup as I’m really loud.

“I love Peavey amplifiers for a number of reasons: they sound good, they are durable, and they’re one of the last few remaining companies independently owned in the south [of the United States]. Overall, it’s a good family company with good people, and I am very proud to play with them.”

Black Stone Cherry's trip around the continent saw them play a wide variety of venues and festivals, including Cardiff University, Sonisphere in France, Rock Planet in Italy and a main stage slot at London's Hard Rock Calling.
