Over the weekend, one sopranino saxophone and 29 soprano saxophones were stolen from Sax.co.uk’s retail store in Crowborough, Sussex.

The thieves broke into the building and made away with over £72,000 worth of instruments.

Many of the saxophones stolen are rare and unusual models by professional-grade instrument brand Yanagisawa, including two solid silver models.

Saxophones made by Yamaha, Rampone & Cazanni, P.Mauriat, Selmer, and Jupiter & Elkhart have also been stolen.

The retailer still has all the cases, mouthpieces and accessories for the stolen instruments, so these saxophones will stand out if offered for sale.

A full list of instrument and serial numbers is available from Sax.co.uk in Crowborough.

If anyone has any information about the stolen saxophones, contact shop manager Liam Young on 01892 662533.
