Nominations close this week for Classic FM's Music Teacher of the Year Awards with Casio and ABRSM

You only have until this Friday (January 27th) to vote for your favourite teacher for Classic FM’s Music Teacher of the Year Awards.

The Awards are in association with ABRSM and form part of Casio's ‘Action in Music’ initiative, which shines a spotlight on outstanding music education in the UK.

They will be presented at a major event at the Barbican Centre on 7th July 2017. Organised by ABRSM, the event showcases the very best in UK music education.

The Awards comprise of five categories: Primary, Secondary, Peripatetic, Special Education Needs and Lifetime Achievement.

Casio’s ‘Action in Music’ ambassador, Laura Mvula (pictured), herself a former music teacher, will join Classic FM, Casio and ABRSM on a panel of expert industry judges, to select the winner from each award category.

Each of the five winners will receive a Celviano Grand Hybrid by Casio for themselves, their schools or music services.
