New Reidy's store opening this weekend

Blackburn MI retailer Reidy's is celebrating its 90th anniversary with the opening of a new 6,500 square-foot store.

The new home of Reidy's – located in Nab Lane at the heart of the town's university campus – features "possibly the world's largest" guitar wall, state-of-the-art Yamaha Homeworld, Fender room and live stage for in-store events.

The grand opening on September 8th and 9th will be an opportunity for musicians and aspiring players to enjoy a mix of live music, fun and informative presentations and special offers. Throughout the weekend product specialists from the world’s largest brands, including Fender, Gibson and Yamaha, will be on hand to entertain visitors with live demonstrations, while offering advice and expert playing tips. Visitors will will be able to enter a prize draw to win £500 off the instrument of their choice.

On the Saturday, double MOBO Award winning saxophonist YolanDa Brown will perform and Dr Feelgood guitarist Wilko Johnson will be playing, taking questions and signing autographs on the Sunday.
