Strings and Things has become the exclusive UK distributor for the Hi Watt amp range.
The firm takes the reins at a time when the Hi Watt range has expanded to five different lines - the hand-wired (and UK manufactured) Custom series; the HiGain series; the solid-state Hi Watt entry level Maxwatt series and the new valve ampTube series. In addition, there is the Valve Series Pedals with true bypass featuring the newly introduced Tube Hi Gain Distortion.
“In recent years we have concentrated on the international development of our brand and products and have enjoyed substantial growth”, said Mark Lodge, Hiwatt’s general manager. “We now intend to focus on developing things here at home. After all, that quintessential Hiwatt sound is an integral part of the formative years of British rock music, used by artists who have led and shaped the music scene globally. We have re-designed our distribution model and will become more aggressive in our marketing and social media activity. We believe Strings & Things represent the perfect partner to take Hiwatt forward”.
“With this range we now have all bases covered," added Lodge. "This means that with newer Hi Watt players, the road-map for the upgrade path is clearer than it ever has been. This can only be good news for the dealers”.
