With all of the gear announcements surrounding the big show, it's easy to forget about all of the events that go along with NAMM each year.

Here is a list of some of the educational sessions and events taking place today at the Anaheim Convention Centre.

The 'Breakfast of Champions' series continues today at 8am PST in the Hilton Anaheim with a session called "The End of 'Business As Usual'—How to Rewire for Success." Find more information, click here.

NAMM's Idea Centre at booth 5501 continues with sessions running from 10:30am to 5pm with topics ranging from "How to Turn your Business Around: Simple Ideas That Work," to "How To Stage Successful Themed Recitals" and "Plug In and Turn it Up! Increasing Electric Guitar Sales in 2013." The full range of sessions and more information can be found here.

Performances and Events taking place today include: the All-Industry Drum Circle at 5:45 p.m. in the Hilton Palm Garden, the 7th Annual Living Legends Concert featuring more than 35 artists from legendary bands and more music outside on the Grand Plaza Main Stage starting at 5 p.m. Also, the 28th Annual TEC Awards reception begins at 6 p.m., followed by the ceremony at 7 p.m. in the Hilton Anaheim Pacific Ballroom.

NAMM's H.O.T. (Hands-On Training) Zone provides live educational sessions and innovative ideas for professionals in the pro audio, entertainment technologies, music business operations, recording, live sound, DJ, house of worship, commercial systems contractors/integrators, and stage and lighting industries.

H.O.T. sessions today include a Protools workshop, songwriters and producers panels and the producer's inside view on Fleetwood Mac's Rumours. For the full list of H.O.T. Zone sessions check out the schedule here.
