NAMM 2016: Record number of visitors and exhibitors announced

A record-breaking 101,736 registrants and 1,726 exhibitors descended upon LA for NAMM 2016, in what was the biggest outing in the show’s 115-year history.

Representing over 6,000 brands, exhibitor numbers for NAMM 2016 were up seven per cent on last year. 409 of the total number of exhibitors were doing so for the first time, while 174 were returning after a lapse of one year or more.

Registrations, meanwhile, were up two per cent on last year’s record-setting NAMM, as the show significantly grew its international reach, attracting 15,915 international registrants – a 20 per cent increase over 2015 – from 125 different countries.

“As we look at the record number of exhibiting brands, influx of new entrepreneurial spirit and attendance from 125 countries, the industry seems poised for vital growth and breakthroughs,” said NAMM president and CEO Joe Lamond. “The NAMM Show is a reflection of our industry, not only where it is now, but even more importantly where it is heading next. NAMM members brought their A-game to Anaheim this week with creative, innovative, beautiful products. They also came with inquisitive minds, filling NAMM's educational sessions all four days."
