Schecter has collaborated with Avenged Sevenfold guitarist, Synyster Gates, to release the Hellwin range of guitar amps.
The debut amp in the line is the Hellwin USA 100, an all-tube, 100-watt head designed and co-created by renowned amp builder James Brown.
“After years of trying to get all of the tone, playability and versatility I wanted in an amp, I turned to my friends at Schecter and legendary amp designer James Brown. Together we have created Hellwin, a line of amps engineered to sound and perform at the highest level whether you're on the big stage or in your garage,” remarked Gates.
The amp's features include three MIDI switchable channels with independent EQ and gain boost, a front panel noise gate, active/passive inputs and four position 'focus' control. Also in the range is the Hellwin matching 4x12 soeaker cabinets, available in both angle or straight design with four Celestion Vintage-30 speakers. The cabinets are built from solid baltic birch and can run in mono or stereo.
Executive vic president Marc LaCorte commented on the collaboration, saying: "As soon as we started building amps, working with Synyster on his own designs seemed like a natural step after the nearly ten-year relationship we have shared."
