NAMM 2013: PRS adds two new basses to its Core line

PRS Guitars has announced the addition of two new basses to its Core product line.

Designed in conjunction with Gary Grainger, the Grainger 4 and Grainger 5 feature a maple top, mahogany back, 34" scale length, 24 fret maple neck, rosewood fretboard and PRS bird inlays. Both basses operate passively as well as actively.

Gary Grainger has played with the likes of John Scofield, Dennis Chambers, and Frank Gambale. As the primary designer of PRS Private Stock basses, Gary collaborated with other bass artists to create a PRS bass with all the character and quality of the Private Stock models but with a more universal appeal that could be offered through the company’s Core production line.

For more information on the new basses visit the dedicated site for the Grainger 4 or Grainger 5.
