NAMM 2012: Roland broadens V-Drums line

Roland has expanded its V-Drums range with the new advanced TD-30KV and TD-30K kits and compact HD-3.

The TD-30KV (for the stage) and TD-30K V-Pro (for professional recording) drums offer Supernatural sounds with Behaviour Modelling, along with advanced sensing technology, making the instrument responsive to all the subtleties, nuances and dynamics of a drummer's technique.

A USB audio-playback function has also been added to expand the performance palette.

In addition, the HD-3 is a new generation drum kit that is powerful and expressive enough for experienced players, yet user-friendly enough for beginners to learn on.

The set features 20 preset kits with dedicated select buttons and an informative backlit LCD, a beater-less kick drum with improved playing feel and low acoustic noise. New cloth-head toms offer improved playing feel and design, dual-trigger pads for snare and crash/ride improve playability and a metronome is available with selectable sounds and adjustable tempo.
