NAMM 2012: Nord Drum unveiled

The Nord Drum – a collaboration between Clavia and "music technology enthusiasts" Bruniusson & Berg – has been released.

The four-channel virtual analogue drum synthesizer features a vast sonic palette and lets the user create "classic retro-futuristic" percussion sounds with analogue waveforms and it offers a broad dynamic range and fast triggering, as well as the feel of a real instrument.

Four high sensitivity inputs and MIDI make it compatible with a wide range of electronic drum pads and it can be easily integrated with any drum kit thanks to the inclusion of acoustic drum triggers and MIDI pads/sequencers.

The Nord Drum will begin shipping in March 2012 with a retail price on £399.

Sound Technology is the UK distributor for Nord.
