NAMM 2011: Rico?s line of Reserve Classic reeds expands

Rico’s Reserve Classic Alto Saxophone reeds are made from lower-internode cane, which the company claim ‘produces the most consistent tone of any reed currently on the market’.

"The Reserve Classic Alto Saxophone reeds were developed after receiving some great feedback from a diverse range of players." Says Robert Polan, Rico Product Manager.

"The new reeds are extremely durable, produce a fantastic tone and have been receiving an exceptional amount of acclaim from many established saxophone players."

With a thicker blank, the new Reserve Classic series allows for a profile that gives more flexibility than standard alto saxophone reeds as well as being the first series of reeds to offer a 3.0+ strength option alongside the usual 2.0 to 4.5.
