Musikmesse reiterates business focus of 'new concept'

In a bid to reassure trade visitors of its B2B focus, Musikmesse has reiterated the business features of next year’s show in light of the ‘new concept’.

The much-discussed ‘new concept’ will see the show opened to the public for the duration, with the event running from Thursday, April 7th to Sunday, April 10th.  Prolight + Sound will run from Tuesday, April 5th to Friday, April 8th.

Since announcing the changes at this year’s Musikmesse, organisers have been keen to allay fears that the new timings and public opening will impact upon the show’s traditional trade values. As such, a new, dedicated trade hall (Hall 11.1) boasting a 'loft'-style décor’ has been confirmed, which will visitors a quieter space in which to talk business. Attendees will also be able to book time slots in a number of dedicated meeting rooms.

Also new for 2016 is the Business Academy, a new feature that offers trade visitors and manufacturers an extensive programme of further professional development by way of a series of lectures from distinguished industry figures, while the new Matchmaking Programme aims to put exhibitors in contact with relevant visitors.
