MUSIKMESSE 2012: Carlsbro enters electronic drum kit market

British guitar amp manufacturer Carlsbro has continued its foray into new instrument sectors by releasing an electronic drum kit.

The ADD501 features highly responsive pads, a dual zoned crash and snare, rides with choke, as well as toms, a hi-hat and bass pads with pedals. The accompanying Commander 300 Sound Module includes 627 percussion voices, 40 preset kits, ten user configurable kits and 40 demo songs.

It also comes with Aux in jack, stereo line out, headphone out, as well as USB and MIDI I/O interfaces.

The company is also showing off the EDA50 and EDA200S – its new e-drum amplifiers and stage monitors – as well as the new VAC tube amp series at the show.

John Hornby Skewes & Co is the new UK distributor for Carlsbro.
