Nord has introduced its first ever Electro model with hammer action, the Electro 3 HP Hammer Action Portable.
Featuring a 73-key E-E range keybed and weighing just 11kg, the Nord Electro 3 HP is also compatible with the Nord Piano and Sample Libraries, which includes the exclusively licensed Mellotron and Chamberlin sounds, while offering the tonewheel and transistor modelling from the C1 organ, as well as Rotary speaker simulation.
A total of four Dynamic Curves mean it is capable of delivering a keyboard response for any player’s personal style and a new selectable Long Release feature is useful when playing legato parts. Nord has added a flexible new Delay Effect to the Electro 3 HP, along with tap-tempo, rate, amount and a stereo Ping-Pong mode.
It also gives the user four Live Locations, resulting in greater freedom to experiment with new sounds and settings on the go, which are then automatically saved. Programme access is now much easier as well, requiring fewer buttons to push in order to find specific programmes.
