Music for All visits Essex school

Music For All, the MIA music education charity, has started a fresh tour of UK schools, enabled by a generous grant received from the Namm Foundation in the USA. Pictured - Rosetti MD Mark Ellis with pupils eager to learn the clarinet.

The MIA's Paul McManus says: "The premise is simple, in that the charity takes a range of instruments and offers all the children free taster lessons. On 13th July, the charity visited St Mary’s Primary School in Burnham on Crouch, Essex. The charity partnered with local distributor, Rosetti, and gave the children the chance to try guitars, flutes, clarinets and percussion. Every child in the school was seen and the parents of the children joined the day to hear more about the benefits of learning an instrument. The charity also gave a bursary to a talented child who was not able to afford regular lessons and Rosetti kindly donated a guitar for her to learn with. All parents were given a goody bag with information about quality instruments and a list of the local shops. If you have connections with a school where musical provision could be improved, please contact.
