Music China confirms dates for 2013

After a record-breaking 2012 show, Music China returns to the Shanghai New International Expo Centre 10th - 13th October.

Due to the success of last year's show, the event's organisers - Messe Frankfurt, the China Music Instrument Association (CMIA) and Intex China - have increased the size of this year's exhibition. There will now be eight halls, with the main hall increasing to 92,000 sqm, including a 50 per cent increase in the piano zone.

Jason Cao, senior general manager for Messe Frankfurst commented on the increased show scale, saying: "The significant growth is due to an overwhelming response from exhibitors. So far 99 percent of last year's exhibitors have reserved space at the 2013 show, some of them even double the booth size. Pavilion from the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Scandinavia, Spain, Taiwan, the Netherlands and the UK are planning to return. The tremendous exhibitor support shows that Music China is one of the most important events on the industry calendar in the Asia Pacific region."

The Chinese MI market has consistently seen year-on-year growth over the past few years and is currently valued at $278 million USD.
