MIRC 2013: Zoom range ideal for indies says firm

Home recording and effects specialist Zoom UK will be at this year's MIRC, hoping to once again make an impression among its core indie retail base.

Recent product launches from the firm include the Multistomp MS-100BT effects pedal with Bluetooth technology which allows it to be connected to an iPad, iPod, iPhone and the MS-60B which the firm says is the world's first single stompbox multi-effects bass pedal. The A3 acoustic guitar pre-amp pedal is also new.

On the recording side the H6 Handy recorder offers the option to use a number of different mics with its interchangeable mic feature.

"Indie retail is vital to our brand," said Zoom MD, Anthony Bekesi. "We have a wide range of entry level and consumer-oriented products appealing to a huge demographic of customers of all different levels of age and ability, which cry out to be seen and tried before they are bought. The advice and recommendations offered by indie retailers more often than not play a crucial part in customers purchasing decisions. We wish to increase the number of indie and grass roots dealers we have. We would love to do whatever levels of business we can with indie retail and to ensure that they can make the kind of profit margins they both wish to and need to make when they sell our products."
