MIRC 2012: Pioneer flaunting decks appeal to dealers

Pioneer's mission at this year's MIRC is to turn dealers on to the possibliities of the DJ market.

The firm will be presenting its recently formed SD Consumer DJ dealer category that focuses purely on controllers, speakers and headphones as well as new products like the recently released RMX 1000 that bridges the gap between music production and DJing.

"The SD Consumer DJ category was put together largely on feedback gained from dealers at last year's show so we look forward to seeing how well we have met their requests this year," said UK sales manager, Martin Dockree.

"We will also be inviting our more traditional DJ retailers to the show, many for the first time, as we will be launching a new product to the channel that will shape the future of DJing. More to be revealed at the show."

Now in its third year, the MI Retail Conference & Expo, in association with Musikmesse, is a trade event backed by MI Pro and organised by Intent Media, and is aimed solely at maximising retail sales.

The event takes place on Thursday June 28th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

The day is free for retailers to attend and will include a conference session in the morning, once again curated by the MIA's CEO Paul McManus.

Legendary prog rocker and raconteur Rick Wakeman will provide the keynote discussion.

After a free lunch, the expo will open, featuring the market's biggest manufacturers and distributors.

In addition, there will be a series of 'Break-Out Sessions' during the afternoon, giving distributors and manufacturers the opportunity to present technical or service sessions with smaller groups of dealers.

An after-show drinks reception, sponsored by Roland, will provide networking opportunities to round off the day's events. And all dealers will go home with a VIP Gift Bag.

The UK's top 250 retailers are set to attend the event, and dealers can register by emailing mirc@intentmedia.co.uk.
