MIRC 2012: Marshall to provide full backline solution for retailers

Marshall Amplification is looking to fully establish itself as a complete backline supplier at MIRC 2012.

The company acquired bass amp specialist Eden back in January to go alongside its Natal percussion line and the firm is planning to pitch its new brand line-up to dealers on June 28th.

The supplier will also use the event to further strengthen its relationships with traditional 'bricks and mortar' stores.

"Thanks to our fairly recent acquisition of Natal drums and our very recent acquisition of Eden, the Marshall family of products really does represent a full backline for a band and also a shop," said Nick Bowcott, Marshall's global marketing manager. "We really want to communicate that message and also promote the unrivalled service we can and do provide to our dealers.

"Despite the proliferation of apps and dot-coms, we view our relationship with and support of traditional 'bricks and mortar' dealers as pivotal. What we make is tactile and personal and it doesn’t matter how good your internet connection is, you can’t 'feel' a guitar or the sound of an amp when you’re not playing it."

The event takes place on Thursday June 28th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

The day is free for retailers to attend and includes the conference session in the morning, and the expo in the afternoon featuring the market's biggest manufacturers and distributors, which opens after the free lunch.

In addition, there will be a series of 'Break-Out Sessions' during the afternoon, giving distributors and manufacturers the opportunity to present technical or service sessions with smaller groups of dealers.

An after-show drinks reception, sponsored by Roland, will provide networking opportunities to round off the day's events. And all dealers will go home with a VIP Gift Bag.

The UK's top 250 retailers are set to attend the event, and dealers can register by emailing mirc@intentmedia.co.uk.
