MIRC 2012: Elixir brings new bass offering

Coated string specialist Elixir is putting the emphasis on its new nickel and stainless steel bass strings at this year's show.

“We’ll be promoting our full line of market-leading coated strings, with a focus on our must haves and new products," said the firm's global sales chief, Christopher Lioi. "This year, we’re looking forward to spreading the word about our new Stainless Steel and improved Nickel-Plated Bass Strings: two launches that we expect to really shake up the bass world and bolster our position in the market. We spent a year researching and spoke to over 1000 bassists to create the improved Nickel Plated Bass Strings, and that’s paid off in a rich, clear tone and the finger-friendly feel of the specially designed Nanoweb coating.

"Our new Stainless Steel Nanoweb Coated Strings are perfect for players who love the ‘zingy’ clarity of steel, but have been put off in the past by the rough texture these strings sometimes have. The event takes place on Thursday June 28th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

The day is free for retailers to attend and includes the conference session in the morning, and the expo in the afternoon featuring the market's biggest manufacturers and distributors, which opens after the free lunch.

In addition, there will be a series of 'Break-Out Sessions' during the afternoon, giving distributors and manufacturers the opportunity to presenttechnical or service sessions with smaller groups of dealers.

An after-show drinks reception, sponsored by Roland, will provide networking opportunities to round off the day's events. And all dealers will go home with a VIP Gift Bag.
