MIRC 2012: Audio specialist targets MI dealers

The UK branch of the  firm was only set up in February to distribute the range of Italian audio equipment.

Managing director, Mark Parkhouse, said: "We have a range we feel is suitable for MI shops. Not just budget, but good quality products coming out of Italy. We've been selling to solo artists and bands so, our attitude is, 'what is pro-audio anyway?' Our products look elegant and they've got the efficiency to deliver a sound like a much bigger P.A system.

"It's a little bit harder with MI dealers because they're struggling at the moment and they say people don't want to spend a lot of money on a P.A. But if we find good dealers we will work with them to find the best margins."

The firm will be showcasing its Vertas CLA (Column Line Array) system. It is comprised of two parts: the CLA 604A bi-amplified two-way active column speakers (400 + 100W RMS) and the CLA 208SA active subwoofer (600W RMS). It retails for around £2,999.

It will also have its Pro-Maxx powered speakers at the show too.

MIRC takes place on Thursday June 28th at The Brewery, Chiswell Street, London.

The day is free for retailers to attend and includes the conference session in the morning, and the expo in the afternoon featuring the market's biggest manufacturers and distributors, which opens after the free lunch.

In addition, there will be a series of 'Break-Out Sessions' during the afternoon, giving distributors and manufacturers the opportunity to presenttechnical or service sessions with smaller groups of dealers.

An after-show drinks reception, sponsored by Roland, will provide networking opportunities to round off the day's events. And all dealers will go home with a VIP Gift Bag.

The UK's top 250 retailers are set to attend the event, and dealers can register by emailing mirc@intentmedia.co.uk.
