MIA AWARDS 2011: Those winners in full

Roland, Barnes and Mullins, Anderton's and Musicroom were among the big winners at last night's MIA Awards dinner.

Among the 'blue riband' awards, Roland was voted best large supplier, with Barnes and Mullins best medium-sized supplier and Guitar XS the best small supplier. In the retail category Anderton's won best independent retailer, with Musicroom voted best multiple. There was also a very popular Living Legend award for Orange amps originator Cliff Cooper, who received a standing ovation from the 300 or so industry guests.

In the product categories there was a surprise win for Line 6 which won best electric guitar for its James Tyler Variax JTV-69, a win for Marshall's Natal drum range and a double victory for Yamaha in the classical category for its C40 Classical Guitar and Clavinova CLP-470 Digital Piano.
