MI PRO TV: Understanding the AlphaSphere

While nu desine’s AlphaSphere may look and sound like something from outer space, the instrument’s inventor Adam Place walks us through some of its key features and explains why it may not be as unconventional as it appears.

An electronic musical instrument and controller that changes the way players interact with sound, the AlphaSphere is made up of 48 pressure sensitive pads, which form a modular spherical structure. Sound is triggered when the player taps the pad and, by applying more pressure, they can mould and manipulate the sound further.

Check out the short video below for more on how to feel your way around the nu desine AlphaSphere.
