MI industry veteran Brian Justice passes away

Brian Justice, a well-respected name in the musical instrument industry, has passed away, reports NAMM.

Justice had previously been a salesman in many industries in Europe, including the textile and oil businesses, before entering the MI market when he started working for music wholesaler Cross & Tisher.

While in the British service, Justice took part in the Berlin Airlift (1948-49) and became interested in the business and cultural traditions of the country.

He gained a well-respected name in the industry for his import/export work between England and Germany, which occurred around a decade after World War II.

Over the years he built up the import business enough to run the company and later become owner.

He had a long and successful career in the music industry and as he once said, “enjoyed every moment.”

Justice passed away on September 4th, 2017 at the age of 88.
