Metallica's Kirk Hammett sparks MI Twitter storm with pedal Tweet

Metallica guitarist, Kirk Hammett, has sparked outrage among the pedal manufacturing community over comments made on Twitter regarding his new pedal company.

Hammett’s new business, KHDK, which he founded with industry veteran David Karon, produces FX pedals for guitarists, with the Ghoul Screamer, No 1 Overdrive and No 2 Clean Boost already available.

Evidently excited about his new venture, the Metallica man took to Twitter to talk up the project, although his choice of words could have been a little more tactful…

Unsurprisingly, it didn’t take long for pedal builders the world over to voice their disapproval, with many stating the obvious that most MI companies are founded and driven by musicians.
