Some 220,000 people saw the reformed Manchester legends play their first major shows for 16 years at Heaton Park, with guitarist John Squire and bassist Mani both backed by Mesa Boogie.
The band is schedule to play another ten dates this summer at a number of outdoor gigs and festivals including T in the Park, Benicassim, V Festival and a gig in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
Depsite a somewhat erratic live legacy, this weekend's gigs have already been declared a triumph. Ian Brown's extemporaneous vocals aside, the rest of the band have been lauded for their performance and fans still clearly want more from the reformed Roses.
