Mel-Tone in Leicestershire is due to be rebranded as Iconmusic following an imminent change in management, Melton Times has reported.
Tony Rifugiato is stepping down as owner of the Melton Mowbray store after 28 years, handing the reigns over to Tom Griggs, who he has worked closely with for the past 15 years.
The shop will close for a brief period starting June 9th, before reopening as the new-look store on June 16th.
“It will be a wrench to leave but I think it’s time for someone to take it on who has fresher ideas to keep the momentum going," said Rifugiato. “I’m leaving the business in good hands and the advantage of Tom taking over is he knows the customers and how the music scene works in Melton.”
The professional tuition service, which Mel-Tone has become known for over the years, will continue under the new management set-up.
