Martin to debut new Retro Series at London Acoustic Guitar Show

Martin Guitars has revealed its plans for the upcoming London Acoustic Show, which include the first UK showing of the Retro Series.

The new range, which offers a combination of modern technology and old stylings, has attracted a great deal of attention since it was unveiled at Summer NAMM, and this be the first opportunity for UK guitarists to get their hands on the new models. The manufacturer is also bringing over three special Custom Shop model for the event – which takes place this weekend (September 22nd and 23rd) at London's Olympia Conference Centre – as well as more than 50 production models for visitors to try out.

Fred Green, head of Martin's Custom Shop, will be in attendance on both days, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge from his many years at the company. Green will be speaking about the process of a custom-build Martin, from conception to finish.

Performing live and representing Martin on Sunday 23rd will be two-time Grammy Award winner Laurence Juber, who will also host a Q&A session about his career as guitarist for Paul McCartney and Wings, whilst talking about the brand, and his own signature Martin.

Rising star Benjamin Francis Leftwich (pictured) will close the show, performing tracks from his debut album Last Smoke Before The Snowstorm.

Blaze Publishing is the organiser of the London Acoustic Guitar Show and Westside Distribution is the UK supplier for Martin.
