Line 6 has introduced a dozen new apps for the MIDI Mobilizer, the only MIDI interface currently available for Apple iPod touch, iPhone and iPad.
This product connects easily to all of the devices above and, coupled with the MIDI Memo Recorder (a free app on the Apple App store), it allows musicians to play, record and backup MIDI data any time, anywhere.
Over 70 app developers from around the world have been working on new apps compatible with the MIDI Mobilizer, following the Third Party Developer Program launched in the summer.
One example of this is NanoStudio, a full-featured virtual recording studio complete with 16 sample trigger pads, a sequencer, sample editor, mixer and ten FX units. There is also NLog Synth Pro, a virtual analog synthesizer with 192 factory sounds, a collection of powerful synth features and much more. Pianist Pro, an 88-key virtual piano for the iPad is another new creation to emerge as a result of the above program.

The MIDI Mobilizer is available now, with an estimated street price of £55.
