Learn To Play Day: Record number of lessons for Korg UK

During this year’s Learn To Play Day, Korg UK saw a record turnout for people of all ages participating in music lessons.

The national event, which is organised by the Music for All charity, aims to inspire new, or lapsed, musicians of all ages to take up playing an instrument.

This year Korg UK invited people along to enjoy a free introductory lesson on a whole range of instruments. Visitors chose from Takamine guitars, Korg pianos and synths, Mapex drums, or Jupiter brass and woodwind instruments.

This was the ideal opportunity to try out a new instrument or get back into playing and the turn out proved the enthusiasm there is out there for learning to play.

Held at The Stables, people of all ages came along, many with pre-booked lesson slots, and the music teachers were kept busy all day.

“We were delighted with the turn out for the Learn To Play event. It was great to see such enthusiasm for learning an instrument,” said Korg’s Ricci Hodgson.

“People of all ages and abilities were welcome and we have already had some fantastic feedback. We look forward to making this even bigger next year.”
