Keep 'em peeled for stolen Archtop

Keep an eye out for an unusual guitar stolen from Birds Music Centre in Bexhill.

The ‘one off’ prototyp is a solid yellow maple coloured electric Hutchins Archtop Cello style guitar with gold fittings.

A possible suspect, believed to be involved in the theft by distracting staff, has been described as a tall 30-year-old white man with a long face, fair hair and wearing glasses.

Police Constable Jason Kemp said: “The stolen guitar is very distinctive in that it is a ‘one off’ prototype so anyone with any knowledge of guitars who is offered it should immediately know that it is unusual and has been stolen.

“The end of the arm is also described as being shaped like an ‘exploded V’ so again this should make it fairly easy to point out. Please contact police you are offered, or come across, a similar guitar."

You can contact police on 101 quoting serial 0509 of 25/10 if you believe you have any information as to the whereabouts or initial theft.
