John Hornby Skewes & Co showed off the new HK Audio LUCAS Nano 300 system at PLASA Focus in Leeds last week.
The Nano 300 features an ultra-compact subwoofer and two 'fist-sized' satellites, which weigh just 10kg together. The sub houses the electronics and a three-channel mixing console, which makes it ready for immediate use without any additional equipment. The satellites lock into a transport bay on the subwoofer with a simple twist of the wrist, and its comfortable grips allow the entire system to be easily carried in one hand.
The system can be used as a highly portable sound reinforcement system for presenters and musicians, a monitoring system for electronic drums and desktop multimedia, a near-field PA for small events and much more.
It can be easily reconfigured as a mono system for applications requiring higher sound pressure and greater range and there is also an Add-On Package available – featuring poles and a tripod – along with table tripods that can be used as wall mounts.
The LUCAS Nano 300 will hit stores in June 2012.
