JHS announces new Zed models

John Hornby Skewes & Co has announced the sale of a new pair of ultra small Allen & Heath mixers, the Zed-10 and Zed-10FX.

These fresh additions to the USB equipped Zed range will benefit a range of consumers, due to their reduced size and enhanced practicality. The new models also include a full version of Amplitube X-Gear, a unique FX modeling software system.

“The modeling capability of X-Gear and the guitar and bass specific Class A FET pre-amps on the Zed-10 and Zed-10FX make for an incredible combination,” said A&H’s Zed designer Mike Griffin. “Together they provide the home studio guitarist, solo artist or band with the complete package to produce great quality guitar performances.”

The Zed-10 is capable of managing up to four microphones and two stereo sources as well as a stereo playback input for two-track replay or interval music from a CD player. Other features include a USB send and return for PC or Mac recording, playback and effects. The Zed-10FX offers the same set up with the addition of a built in FX processor with tap tempo delay settings and a 24 bit/48kHz conversion rate.

Both products will be available from June 2010 and review samples are available this month (April). The first previews will be available at the PLASA Focus in Leeds from April 27th to 28th.  The Zed-10 will be priced at £249 and the ZED-10FX at £299.
